Heronstar stood outside of camp paw deep in a small stream. He had left camp in such a hurry that half the Clan had thought he was hurt. He hadn't told anyone where he was going or why, mostly because he needed time to think. Prey was becoming more plentiful since the harsh winter had ended the season before and now the streams that filled RiverClan's marsh-y territory was plentiful. They would need to stock up on prey and medicine in case of emergence. The large gray and white leader cast his gaze downwards at the stream where a small salmon not even half a year swam slowly by. He had not just a Clan to think about but his mate as well. She was expecting and he would do everything in his power to keep her healthy for when the kittens came they needed to be healthy too.
Pebblesplash stared at the space where Heronstar had hurried out of camp. He had been more quiet and thoughtful lately. Maybe he had just been getting cold feet since Troutstream was pregnant. The gray and white molly shook her head before she worked her way to the nursery to check on Troutstream. "Evening Troutstream," the medicine cat greeted setting down her herbs.
